Metal Bellows Expansion Joints

Thanks to our excellent cooperation with leading producers for metal bellows expansion joints, we are able to grant our customers a wide range of expansion joints suitable for the usage in a wide range of industrial fields like oil and gas, power generation, nuclear, chemical industries, engines and turbines, cryogenics and technical gases, engineering and mining.

Expansion joints used to absorb the temperature deformations of pipelines for transfer of hot and cold mediums. These products also used to connect pressure or suction pipes to other equipment.

Expansion joints are available with the following specification:
  • Nominal diameter:
    50 – 5.000 mm
  • Working pressure:
    up to 250 MPa
  • Temperature of transferred medium:
    -250 °C to +1.500 °C
  • Materials:
    austenitic stainless steels (AISI 304, 316, 316L,
316 Ti, 321), carbon steel, nickel alloys and
    Titanium
High product quality is granted by a strict quality
control at the manufacturer’s side, including:
  • - Visual inspection of weld seams
    - Burst pressure test
  • - Dimensional control
    - Bend radius test
  • - Pneumatic leak detection test
    - Life cycle test / Flexibility test
  • - helium leak test
    - Radiographic non-destructive welds test

AXIAL (Universal) Bellows Expansion

  • Nominal Diameter
    (DN) DN 50 – DN 5000 mm
  • Working pressure
    (PN) PN 2,5 – PN25 Bar
  • Types of joints
    • Flanges (lose, welded)
    • Weld ends
Used to compensate axial displacements occurring due to thermal deformations,
pressure differences, vibrations and inaccuracies of equipment installation.

ANGULAR Expansion Joints

  • Nominal Diameter
    (DN) DN 50 – DN 5000 mm
  • Working pressure
(PN) PN 2,5 – PN40 Bar, special up to 250 Bar
  • Types of joints
    • Flanges (lose, welded)
    • Weld ends
Used to absorb angular movements only. There are two types of angular expansion
joints, hinged and gimbal. Hinged expansion joints absorb movements in one plane,
while gimbal joints compensate in all planes.

LATERAL Expansion Joints

  • Nominal Diameter
    (DN) DN 50 – DN 1000 mm
  • Working pressure
    (PN) PN 2,5 – PN40 Bar
  • Types of joints
    • Flanges (lose, welded)
    • Weld ends
    • Tie rods / Hinges / Gimba
Used for absorption of lateral movements. Capable of compensating simultaneous
lateral displacements of two sections of piping in different directions.

PRESSURE BALANCED Expansion Joints

  • Nominal Diameter
    (DN) DN 50 – DN 1000 mm
  • Working pressure
    (PN) PN 6 – PN40 Bar
  • Types of joints
    • Flanges (lose, welded)
    • Weld ends
Designed to absorb movements from a piping system. They can accommodate axial and
lateral movements where anchoring of pipe systems is difficult or impractical.

DISTRICT HEATING Expansion Joints

  • Nominal Diameter
    (DN) DN 50 – DN 1400 mm
  • Working pressure
    (PN) PN 6 – PN25 Bar
  • Types of joints
    • Weld ends
Designed to take up mainly axial movements caused by temperature expansions of a pipeline.
